This latest range was inspired by the extreme self-restraint and severity of an ascetic life. The pieces preserve Yifang`s signature elongated silhouette though that is explicitly linear and uncomplicated showing that sometimes less detailing and fuss makes more of a fashion impact. Looks were accompanied by an array of sharp stainless steel accessories developed from looking at religious symbols from Buddhism, Jainism and the Christian Desert Fathers. They made for striking finishing touches complimenting the clothing but without stealing focus. There seemed to be an underlying samurai fighter style to the collection too with pieces being very powerful yet minimalistic in terms of the shapes and designs. Layering was a vital aspect to the ensembles with long tunic like dresses worn over trousers, which was a style seen numerous times on the AW13 catwalks, and gorgeous flowing coats completing certain outfits.

The colour palette was comprised of neutral and deep shades such as black, teal, purple and burgundy which are perfect hues for the cold months of the year. They really added to the inspiration of the clothing giving designs an unspoken strength and understated beauty. Masterfully designed and expertly styled, this collection will have heads turning!
