Greeted with a lovely glass of Prosecco and delicious canapés, I joined the excitement of browsing the selection of new brands that will soon be launching on QVC, one of the world`s leading TV and online retailers. One of my favourite makeup and beauty brands bareMinerals had a range of products from their AW13 collection on display including Prime Time Luminous Gold Foundation Primer, Ready 8.0 Eyeshadows in The Power Neutrals, Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara, Ready Bronzer and Marvellous Moxie Lipstick. These items were used to create a statement look for the models who walked in the fashion show.
A new brand named Color Wow caught my attention at the event. This first-of-its-kind collection of professionally formulated products not only spells the end for pesky roots but they also solve every issue associated with colour-treated hair to keep your gorgeous locks in tip-top condition. From shampoo and conditioner to the Root Cover Up which you can just pop into your handbag and use on the go. It`s never been easier to achieve long lasting hair colour!
A unique collaboration between QVC and the Museum of London has been announced which means shoppers will be treated to a replica collection of some of the world`s finest Elizabethan and early Stuart jewels and gemstones from The Cheapside Hoard. The range of stunning classic pieces includes necklaces, pendants, rings and earrings, boasting elegant shapes and designs in beautiful colours like garnet, blue sapphire, emerald and amethyst.
The amazing fashion show featured nine hot trends which are set to be big for this autumn/winter – The Twilight Hour, Military Madam, La Dolce Vita, Twisted Heritage, Russian Doll, Throw on the Fur, Into the Boudior and Wine and Roses. Pieces from across QVC`s fashion portfolio were mixed and matched to create a variety of strong looks that can easily be slotted into any woman`s lifestyle. Ensembles stuck to mainly a neutral palette for a classic way of dressing with bursts of vibrancy introduced every now and then to keep things fresh. Texture and embellishment played a big role in the show, in the form of sequins, lace and fur, as well as an interesting approach to silhouettes and shapes. The pieces will instantly update your wardrobe to take you through the season in style without the worry of clothing being un-wearable and unfashionable.
To celebrate 20 years of broadcasting in the UK, QVC has also launched limited edition products created by key partners who have been dedicated to the leading shopping channel over the last 20 years such as iconic brands like Lulu Guinness, jewellery designers Butler & Wilson, interior design guru Kelly Hoppen and nail experts OPI. Bespoke products have been designed to utilise QVC`s iconic purple colour to commemorate the channel`s birthday and will make memorable pieces to invest in.
The exclusive products will be available throughout QVC`s celebratory period, April to October, at www.qvcuk.com/20
A new standalone TV channel has been launched too showcasing the best of QVC`s fashion, accessories and jewellery giving viewers a new way to shop. Fashion lovers will be impressed with the gorgeous variety of pieces from Butler & Wilson, Libertine by Giles Deason, Lulu Guinness, Trinny & Susannah, Kipling, Links of London, Fenn Wright Manson, Lisa Snowdon Jewellery and many more.

Tottering back to Waterloo in the gorgeous sunshine, goodie bag in tow, my evening ended with a lovely view of The Shard. A successful fashion expedition indeed – here`s to another 20 years with QVC!
