Satchels – A Staple Accessory
Satchels started off quite basic and were traditionally used for carrying books, but since then they have had a revamp and can now be found in a multitude of styles, shapes, sizes and colours. If your bank account won`t allow you to purchase a designer satchel then there are plenty of other more purse friendly options available from stores such as Accessorize, Radley and Paul`s Boutique. From neutral tones to neon hues, the choices seem to be endless and these classic accessories are so worth the investment.
The Hoxton from Accessorize is a classic style satchel which features a long strap and a convenient top handle for versatility. What I love about this design is the beautiful bright colour which is perfect for the summery months ahead and will compliment looks amazingly well. A great work bag alternative or for days about town! Accessorize also has a Mini Glam Satchel available which is ideal for women who are always on the go and don`t carry a lot of items in their bags. The two-tone design is rather contemporary too!

Radley, one of my favourite bag brands, has jumped onboard with the satchel trend too bringing out some truly classic luxury designs that women could easily fit into their current wardrobe. The muted blue of the Selby adds sophistication to the bag, providing a subtle flare of colour whilst the neutral hue of the Grosvenor is ideal if you want something a little more basic.
Grosvenor, £199.00 from Radley
Selby, £169.00 from Radley
For a more casual take on the satchel trend then the Lucille and Beatrice designs from Paul`s Boutique are ideal. The larger bag is made of leather and features a suede panel in electric blue for a flash of vibrancy whilst the smaller version is more of a messenger type bag but still flaunts characteristics of a satchel.
