Oscar glamour suits Eddie Redmayne down to the red carpet

For anyone who hasn’t managed to watch the Oscars, close your eyes now. The brilliant Eddie Redmayne was well ahead of his competition (including the super-geek actor of Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch, nominated for his perfect portrayal of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game) but still managed an innocent enough expression of shock when he was called to accept his prize. As an actor Eddie has had quite a quietly eclectic job history and yet somehow all of his roles have been completely on trend. Don’t get it? Here’s what we see…

The Theory of Everything (2014)

Old-School British Geek Chic at its best (and strangely sexiest): Tweed trousers with matching blazer; trench coat; simple white shirts (though probably un-ironed…what kind of genius has time for such things?); old-school tie; chunky glasses; bed-hair; smart and simple black-tie and as many cricket/ sleeveless jumpers as you can throw a theory at.

Jupiter Ascending (2015)

Futuristic Sci-fi

Evilly seductive flowing silky fabrics with a hint of metallic highlighting (bronze or copper to be more unusual). Paired with a tasteful amount of skin on show and even bare feet (perhaps tall gladiator sandals would be better for the beach). It’s the accessories that really make this look. Twisted metals and the occasional not-too-glitzy gem to show off an elegantly regal outfit.

So who, after seeing how brilliantly he can pull off so many looks, doesn’t want his style?

Here are the pieces and places we at Topstylista have found a bit of his glamour in:
