The next collection to excite our imagination came courtesy of Hannah Williams, winner of the Graduate Fashion Week Innovation and Womenswear Awards. Her use of silicone moulded pieces and memorable fabric combinations play on the designer’s sculpture inspiration – fuelled from the highly conceptual work of Daniel Arsham. Giving the fantastical illusions of pockets, 1920s costume jewellery and seams: Williams embossed glossy pastel pieces using skilled moulding techniques, to create beautifully alluring, ever so slightly whimsical looks.
Williams’ collection was doused in subtle charm, with the embossed detailing revealing the designer’s minimalistic approach to romantic theatricality. While, the touch of cuteness to the grown-up shapes left us all fawning over Hannah Williams’ way with modern design.
