Following the success of the department store`s fastest selling brand the Somerset line, which boasts Artisan finishes, feminine flourishes and refined elegance, it is expanding for Autumn/Winter 2013 to include lingerie, nightwear and childrenswear – exciting news for shoppers! Somerset Girl, for girls aged four to twelve, will echo the womenswear collection such as the bestselling black spot embroidered dress and the black cropped military jacket with gold buttons along with a variety of blouses, printed skirts, party dresses, winter coats and trousers.
The other addition to the Temperley range is a 23-piece lingerie and nightwear collection which fuses vintage and oriental influences inspired by Japanese prints and the iconic `Le Smoking` tuxedo suit. One of the collection`s standout pieces is a black sleeveless silk jumpsuit with ivory piping on the tuxedo-style lapels reminiscent of 1930s film icon Marlene Dietrich in Morocco which, to be honest, wouldn`t look out of place if worn out-and-about with heels.
Extremely beautiful and feminine, the pieces have been injected with understated glamour and luxury with the use of silk and exceptional detail for timeless elegance. Silky camisole and knicker sets, long and mid-length chemises and luxurious cashmere dressing gowns in black and grey are featured in the nightwear collection whilst the lingerie range offers four balconette bra and classic knicker sets available in a silk scallop style in claret and ivory, a cream vintage lace, and the Temperley-designed ‘Night Floral’ print.
The expansion of the Somerset range, named after Alice Temperley`s beloved home county for a touch of nostalgia, establishes the love surrounding the pieces and the popularity of a truly remarkable and affordable collection.
