Now that the sun has come out (hopefully for good) I am starting to think a little bit more about the parts of my body that have not seen the light of day for a good 8 months. First thing to tackle is ‘Operation: toenails’. There is no way I’ll be showing them off in my flip flops without a good lick of bright summer paint!
Collection 2000 has come a long way since its blue writing days. It now has slick clear packaging and one of the hottest young make-up artists, Athena Skouvakis, leading the way for them. It is evident from their latest collection that Collection 2000 are now bang on trend and becoming a very, very interesting British brand indeed. I especially love their new nail varnish collection for the summer, which has almost identikit shades to the Chanel Jade and the OPI purple. The range also has an abundance of gorgeous corals, all of which would look perfect peeping out of a pair of gladiator sandals.
Amazingly, although these nail varnishes have come on leaps and bounds in quality and colour selection over the last couple of years, they can still be snaffled up for a fraction of the price of their designer equivalents. I would suggest wearing a base coat and a top coat to increase their staying power for a bit longer – they do tend to chip a bit if you don`t wear a top coat – but honestly that is the only slightly negative thing I have to say about them!
