The understated pastel palette featured macaroon colours in colour blocking variations with the designer label`s iconic trench coats getting a pale makeover too. Hints of darker orange or pink were thrown in for gorgeous pops of vibrancy! Lace and sheer fabric made for the perfect amount of feminine appeal whilst light suede tan coats and grey school-like cardigans were evidence of the demure side of the collection.
Relaxed contemporary shapes created for the girl about town offered flattering cuts and lengths, embracing the female form. Soft cashmere sweaters and roomy coats of double-faced cashmere might seem out of place for a summer collection, but with Britain`s ever-unpredictable weather who`s to judge. Polka dots teamed with stripes provided a graphic impact that the fashion world can`t wait to embrace; bold with a hint of sass for a splash of fun.
A flurry of feathers and flower appliques adorned clutches whilst big ornate brooches, seen on a transparent waterproof cape along with various other garments, provided a good dose of embellishment. From lacy dresses to front split pencil skirts and wide necked satin coats to sheepskin clutches, the Burberry Prorsum SS14 collection was a celebration of wearable femininity mixed with contemporary designs sprinkled with a sugary sweet topping!
