75% of British women say they do not believe that you can be both plus-size and fashionable…

Latest research reveals that 73% of British women believe size matters when it comes to being fashionable with 75% saying they do not believe that you can be both plus-size and fashionable! ‘What do you think?’, asks plus-size personal stylist Chantelle Znideric.

Once again it`s one of the most prominent weeks in February on every Fashionista`s fashion calendar – London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010.

Undeniably an event not to be missed for anyone whose passion is designer fashion and who can`t resist being in the know-how of upcoming trends or in the thick of it behind the catwalk glamour. I know for the curvier women out there this event always leaves a bad taste in their mouths, as the lack of acceptance of the curvier woman on the catwalk can leave them feeling a little left out. The question that`s always asked – can plus-size women really look fashionable with so limited choice out there on the high street?

Behind the scenes of Mark Fast’s S/S10 show

Chantelle Znideric award-winning personal stylist and London personal shopper and Malina Wells, Fashion Director and plus-size expert from Curvety.com have been talking to a number of radio stations about how plus size fashion fits into the UK fashion scene. Malina highlighted some interesting regional plus-size stats, whilst talking about the challenges plus-size women face shopping on the high street and Chantelle handed out some fashion styling tips on how to dress curvier women in the latest trends. Listen to the interviews on local BBC and Heart stations along with many other regional broadcasts.

It seems that they aren`t the only ones who believe that London Fashion Week needs a little diversity – with fashion designer Mark Fast once again choosing to use plus-size models to show off his SS10 collection. Some have called this a publicity stunt and maybe it is, but as Fast dares to be different and represent real women he has Chantelle`s and Malina`s votes!
