TRUFFLE a British luxury women’s collection - Concierge - Raw vs. Luxury - Handcrafted Luxury

Truffle is a luxury women’s label, catching the attention of celebrities such as supermodel Erin O’Connor with its unique elegance! Launched at London Fashion Week last November Sofia Strazzanti, who is the Founder and Creative Director, has gone from strength to strength saying –
‘I’ve always wanted my own business and it was either going to be fashion or food. I remember feeling overwhelmed by all the regulations around the food industry and I was already working in fashion so that was that. My obsession with food led me to the name Truffle; the concept just seemed to write itself.’
Recently launched was the Ethical Knitwear Collection, which includes an asymmetric hooded cardigan and a high neck honeycomb dress. Each piece will be hand knitted and made to order, making your purchase totally unique and extra special – these are stunning and incredibly warm, I love the one below. Follower of Sofia’s clothing, as mentioned supermodel Erin O’Connor and vogue.com blogger, recently described a rack of her designs as ‘bold in structure and slick in appearance’.

A great aspect to Truffle is the Concierge Service where customers such as yourself can have the exclusivity you desire in your own time. Pieces are made to order and measure ensuring the designs fit perfectly by taking key measurements. Clients can choose the fabric – such as Italian, British and Japanese - colour, trim details and a design from silhouettes making sure they receive exactly what they have envisioned!

I have never bought from a bespoke collection before but why not if you can afford it, I’m sure if I had the cash then I would. It’s an amazing touch, knowing you’re the only person in the world wearing an outfit which has been tailored to your expectations and that would make anyone feel extra special! Yep, I’m definitely sold - I love the idea of handpicking my own colour, fabric and every little bit of detail.
I’ve met Sofia a few times now, she lent me some pieces for a Channel 4 documentary I did about a month ago now, she’s an absolute pleasure to work with and very accommodating.
Once you’ve chosen had your design consultation with Sofia she will aim to have your piece completed within 8-10 weeks depending on the design and the number of fittings required. Sofia adds –
‘Truffle is positioned next to international catwalk designers so it was essential we create beautiful products using the finest Italian fabrics and couture factories. We work with small units who bring the highest standard of craftsmanship to everything they touch.’
However, if you can’t wait for your bespoke piece to be made Truffle also offers a Ready-to-Wear collection, where jackets, coats, tunic style dresses, Japanese silk jersey wraps and tops are available to buy in an instant.
It does seem Truffle puts a lot of time and effort into making sure each customer gets the attention they deserve with so many ways of getting the outfit they’ve dreamed of! The clothes are so feminine with elegant styling and colours, which leaves you with an incredible designer piece that you’ll treasure. I know Truffle will do amazingly well next year and I’ve been fortunate enough to see the new spring ‘09 collection.
