I really didn’t know what to expect when I received my invite to preview Trinny and Susannah’s Littlewoods SS08 Collection at Claridges but it seemed like an incredible opportunity to experience first hand how my fellow stylists presented such an event.

It seemed uncanny that a high street mail order catalogue could team up with two high profile TV personalities and put on such a decadent show in The Salon, a Versailles-vintage-inspired decorated room but I have to tell you, it worked an absolute treat!

Having bagged myself an excellent seat in between Woman&Home and Company magazine I sat among 40-50 of the most renowned fashion types and journalists from a selection of major women’s glossies. Opposite I even clocked a gorgeous, fresh-faced Liz Hurley who looked stunning in a simple black shift and oversized sunnies just for the occasion sat next to presenter pal Tania Bryer. The rest looked comfortable mingling and catching up with each other, exchanging small talk about how they thought LFW had gone the week before and it was most fascinating!

After a speech from Littlewoods and then a few words from the smiley yet shy duo the show began with a bright fusion of neon colour. Unlike the shows at LFW the room felt intimate, cosy and informal. The feel was feminine and sexy with an injection of T&S confident personalities with softness around the edges, which is what most women like to be thought of and certainly aspire to.

With a strong emphasis on very much high street outfits they were teamed with a fab selection of Trinny’s accessories and designer shoes namely Louboutins, Miu Miu’s, Prada’s and Missoni’s, well you can’t scrimp on shoes can you … We were all inspired at how you can dress this way everyday, for your very own unique body shape whilst putting your own stamp onto any outfit you own.

My favourite dress was a purple frilly dress with slight ruching at the waist, perfect for enhancing my small boobs and waist whilst skimming over my hips and curvy thighs. After the show had finished and to my surprise I was delighted to discover that we could choose our favourite outfit so there was question what I chose - this will definitely be my new favourite summer dress.

Thank you so much Trinny & Susannah!
