Tight is Alright from American Apparel

Fashionistas must be exhausted from tripping over their Louboutins to follow every catwalk trend, when in fact there is one that is not only flattering, but will get you many admiring glances.

The Tight Dress isn’t a popular choice among body-conscious women (not everyone embraces their lovely lady lumps!) but I have to tell you, it is simple, understated glamour.

Yes, the dress that Mariah is wearing underneath her pink jacket is American Apparel!

The Tight Dress has more benefits than you would think, comfy and sexy to name but two! Because of the skin hugging LYCRA® material, it clings to all your curves and makes you look more feminine and shapely- in a not-so-obvious way. We all know men prefer these types of dresses than the pregnancy-type sacks that are now so popular. Because it’s plain, you can afford to jazz it up with as many accessories and heavily decorated (and deeply fabulous shoes) as you like.

American Apparel, the high street store popular with the young celebrity elite, such as Alexa Chung, do great versions of The Tight Dress. At £23 each, you can afford to stock up on all the colours of the rainbow. I should know, I already have two: black for those romantic dinners and raspberry for those long summer nights of partying. The popularity of these dresses is evident; they have frequented popular magazine titles such as Elle, Look and i-D Magazines.

However, if you are looking to splurge, then HERVÉ LÉGER has the ‘Annette bandage dress’, which is great for highlighting the beauty of the female form. It costs £950, available from Net-a-porter.com.
