The Tweed Collection 2010/11 by Eloise Grey – Beautiful made to last garments!
The Tweed Collection 2010/11 by talented designer Eloise Grey is a gorgeous range of classically beautiful coats and jackets which are guaranteed to keep you looking understatedly chic in the colder months.
The garments, which are tailored in the UK, are made so they are loved and treasured forever as Eloise goes back to the tradition of fine tailoring and craftsmanship of the Mid 20th Century whilst paying homage to writers such as Simone de Beauvoir and the Bloomsbury group. This results in classic elegant pieces with subtle details such as ruched raised collars and large pleats. Using the finest quality tweed from the Isle of Mull Weavers, these ethical and certified organic tweeds are undyed and Eloise uses the natural shades of the wool from native-breed sheep which gives the coats and jackets that timeless look. The beautiful craftsmanship mixed with the raw versatile colours and classic buttons and styles makes this range truly special and so beautiful.

Alongside the Tweed Collection are some gorgeously chic separates which I’m totally in love with! The linen blouses and the skinny lined wool trousers are elegantly smart but casual at the same time making them versatile - mix and match different items from the collection to create amazing looks!

Excitingly as well, Eloise Grey has been selected as one of only three small fashion businesses by high profile fashion judges, such as Wayne Hemmingway, for the small company category for Best Fashion for the RSPCA Good Business Awards 2010 which takes place on Wednesday 6th October. The awards reward companies for their ethical approach to animal welfare so it’s no surprise that Eloise is a finalist for this! The use of organic and ethically sourced tweed from Scotland and the organic practice used for Eloise’s garments, ensure the animals are kept in humane conditions.
Eloise says –
“My customers generally buy my coats because they look great and they can see the quality, though some customers seek me out especially for my ethical approach. I feel really honoured by the RSPCA’s Awards and hope I win.”
