The Linen Jacket - A Top Tip for Summer!

In the Autumn and Winter somehow it’s easy to make the transition from work, day wear to evening clobber. We tend to wear trousers at this time of year and all it takes is a change of top and then we are ready for a night out on the town.

In the Spring and Summer this transition is harder to make because generally we are able to wear smarter, more Summery clothing which can be mistaken for casual evening wear. When we go out in the evening we want to appear as though we have made more of an effort but sometimes when we go straight out from work this can be challenging. One top Summer tip I have to suggest is to invest in a lightweight Summer jacket. There are loads on the High Street at the moment, in linen fabric - perfect for Summer! These jackets can be taken off once you reach the office in the morning but when your ready to hit the town a jacket like this will smarten up any outfit. Wear with casual Summer skirts, dresses, jeans or culotte shorts.

I can recommend looking in Debenhams, I have seen a lightweight cream jacket by Gharani Strok - £45. A good investment for Summer, team it with a cute lace trimmed vest top, worn underneath.
