Gil Carvalho is a rising star as far as I’m concerned. When I first discovered his shoes I was blown away by them and his success continues to build year on year. I follow his collections religiously because they are ‘oh-so’ stylish and always visually challenging.
Gils’ Autumn/Winter 07-08 collection, this season, has been created for the The Gil Carvalho Woman and in every sense. She has confidence, positivity and an enviable attitude towards life.
The latest Autumn/Winter 07-08 collection has drawn inspiration from absolutely everywhere and nowhere at the same time and the beauty of clean lines against sharp edges is portrayed every single time, collection after collection. We absolutely love Gil for this and this season his colours gravitate towards dark tones, including greys and browns bearing metallic hints. This collection will be adding warmth and interest to the dark months ahead. The experimentation of exotic skins such as python and ostrich adds a sumptuous and luxurious feel and only enhances Gil’s signature statement.
