The styles are cut to suit any silhouette and the collection is manufactured by a team of in-house tailors, designers and pattern cutters from the small town of Durnbach, Austria.  Each collection has 40 key looks, which includes soft Mongolian cashmeres and rare Japanese jerseys, both totally wearable and functional for the modern professional that contribute to making Clemens en August stand out in its own right in the fashion world.

Ancient Greek and Roman themes dominate the women’s S/S ‘09 collection with an array of tops, mini dresses, playsuits in shades of raspberry, baby blues, powder pinks and black in luxurious silks and cottons are all included.  Greek stitching on pencil thin trouser legs, jacket sleeves and the waistbands of skirts adds a discreet bondage element to the collection.

The men’s S/S ’09 collection is made up of red and blue mixes and heritage checks.  Hunt-inspired detailing appears in the stitching on shoulders and elbows of tight fitting basic shirts, short jackets and ¾ length coats which adds a sporty edge to some of the classical shapes.  Business shirts have detachable collars for those hot summer days, where men need more freedom and comfort.  The brands signature tailored jersey jacket appears again this season too, which is a popular staple for the season ahead.
