Summer is rapidly fading, and even the fashion conscious are turning their thoughts on how to keep dry and warm when those frigid temperatures and predictable rain comes into play. If you’ve decided to invest in a whole new wardrobe for summer, you might want to consider extending the look for winter, as a lot of the big trends are carrying over, including military styles and geeky or preppy looks.

The shoes for winter are reflecting these trends, but even if you’ve decided not to be a dedicated follower of fashion, there will probably be something in the winter collections that will appeal to you. Whether it’s leather or suede brogue styles for work, a lace up sneaker style for more casual days or a brightly coloured upper for a touch of fun to a plainer outfit, there’s something for everyone.

Suede is a huge material trend this winter, and the colours can range from subtle and warm tones to something loud and daring… Ever wanted to know why Elvis sang about his ‘Blue Suede Shoes’? Why not find out? Lace up styles always look classy and will be comfortable all day if you’re at work and on your feet.

Sneaker styles have been around for a long time and this season hasn’t seen a big change in these classic shoes. Leather sneakers look good on casual days and work well with a suit too, especially if you tend to go for ‘geeky trendy’ in the office.

Ankle boots have made a bit of a comeback this winter, with lots of collections offering brand new styles and revamping some classics. There are some great sneaker high tops available that combine buckles and straps for a biker style, which would look great with that new leather jacket! At online fashion store Ellos they have a great range of both mens boots and shoes and mens coats, and right now you can choose the payment option Ellos buy now pay later, which is great if you feel like treating yourself to a few extra items. In boots and coats from Ellos you will be sure to keep dry and warm even on the wettest days and look great too.
