stylecompare.co.uk Website Review.

Last month an exciting new comparison website called stylecompare.co.uk launched onto the scene with the promise of showcasing over 20,000 fashion items to view from over 500 labels.
Like many other comparison websites such as ShopStyle and OSOYOU the site takes a data feed from some of the leading online e-tailers and features them in one place – convenience is key here with so many sites popping up all over the place. The only way of competing with the big boys with big venture capitalist pockets is to differentiate, and that’s precisely what Stylecompare.co.uk is trying to do.
What we feel works particularly well with this site is the fact you can hone your search much more effectively than with many of the other sites so you can find what you want quicker of course. The site’s filters allow you to search on designer, type of fit you’re after, colour, material, pattern, style and of course type of item.
The downsides (we had to find something!) are that we couldn’t see a price filter… well that’s not strictly true, you can set results to come back to show highest price or lowest price but perhaps a price filter would add further value. The only other gripe is that the site could perhaps do with a little more ‘humanisation’ to it (written and imagery). It’s great seeing all the products in one place BUT perhaps adding some personality behind it may encourage more long term loyalty and build greater brand awareness - tell us who’se behind the site with a story.
The site definitely offers more value in terms of usability than many others we’re pleased to say. Good luck stylecompare.co.uk.
In fact the site isn’t too dissimilar to what we are working on with our own iStylista.com which will be ready for launch Mid June (phase 2) and offer members a truly unique service using our crack team of ‘real’ professional personal stylists who’ll be profiling clothes specifically for you – meaning you only see what will suit you! We’ll also only be showcasing the finest designer items and discarding all those designer pieces that are really not suitable for you.
