Report produced by Cotton USA:

• UK spending on clothes maintains momentum although most of us are feeling the credit crunch (could it be retail therapy at work!)
• Over 6 in 10 consumers (64%) go clothes shopping once a month or more
• On average we’ve spent £222 each on clothes in the last three months
• 66% of us continue to prefer quality over lower prices
• Cotton is our fibre of choice with 46% of us saying it is best suited for today’s fashion

Dollond & Aitchison, The Opticians, have also just released some fascinating findings relating to sunglasses:

• Half of the GB public (53%) don’t think female celebrities look sexy when wearing sunglasses
• Over two thirds (69%) of consumers ranked following the latest celebrity style as the least important factor when choosing sunglasses
• The ultimate sunglasses fashion crime was wearing them in the evening, according to half of the population (51%)
• Over a quarter of people (26%) don’t know that UV 400 lenses offer the best eye protection
• One in ten consumers don’t know what a UV rating is even!
• Some really interesting facts and finding here that will certainly help you with that summer capsule wardrobe no doubt!
