My London Fashion Weekend Highlights

Well what can I say … roll on September!  I thoroughly enjoyed myself after my first ever trip to London Fashion Weekend with lots of incredible designers and a refreshing insight into the world of fashion.

This event situated at The Natural History Museum is very similar to Birmingham’s Clothes Show Live that takes place every December with designers displaying their beautiful creations from bags, to underwear and accessories including cutesy jewellery and bespoke dresses.

The difference with LFWeekend is that it approaches fashion from a different angle.  I really was amazed at all the lovely creations that were displayed before me and was a tiny bit peeved I didn’t bring more cash; but hey LFWeekend isn’t just about fashion as I was in my element indulging on Skinny Cow ice cream and sipping Campari. As I’ve never tasted Campari before I found it in the same league as Pimms but with a more mysterious edge and totally divine to drink!!

Juicy Couture, Almost Famous, Maybury and Clara Francis were a few of my favourite designers at the event. I really adored the sweet butterfly jewellery of Clara Francis, the tribal inspired jewellery pieces of Maybury and the soft urban, flowing and floaty designs of Almost Famous.

Almost Famous boasts some sensational, contemporary pieces which are recommended particularly if you are looking for a dress that is highly unique.  There was a huge focus on accessories for this season with a vast amount of designer shades, belts and bags being bought in a hurry!
