Actress turned bag designer Mischa Barton has never been afraid to try out different fashion trends, or go crazy with accessories so designing her own handbag range was one thing she couldn’t resist turning her hand to – introducing the Mischa Barton handbag range.
Available from high street department stores including John Lewis, Fenwick, and Debenhams, and online at asos.com, the bags are extremely ‘Mischa’, as they have a vintage/bohemian look. She’s kept the colours very simple by choosing bold neutrals over OTT colours and designs. The bags are versatile and will go with most everyday outfits and a mixture of evening looks, making them a fabulous investment - perfect! The bags range from £25 - £170, which I think is very reasonable for a ‘celebrity designer’ bag collection!
Having designed 30 different bag styles Mischa comments –
“I didn’t have anybody designing with me. Though that doesn’t mean I won’t - and maybe it would be a good idea if I did. All they did was let me know what leather was out there and send me swatches. That kind of thing. There was a lot of sending things back and forth.”
She probably doesn’t miss the show The OC as much as me, but has named her favourite bag ‘The Marisa’ after her character on the show, making it one of my absolute favourites!
