Make Mine Milk Campaign – 2% Fashion Design Competition!
Make Mine Milk is currently holding a fantastic competition called 2% Fashion and is a great opportunity for all you fashionistas and aspiring fashion designers out there! They have teamed up with well known pop star Alexis Jordan and all you have to do is design a t-shirt around the idea of 2% low-fat milk and the colour green. Time to get your creative hats on people!
The winner will receive a £750 shopping spree and iPads will go to the runners up – not bad right?! Be inventive and add your own personality and unique twist to your design. If you want to enter the competition then just visit www.facebook.com/makemineMilk then click on the 2% Fashion tab where you can download a template, create a design and then email this to ‘make mine Milk’ HQ.
Alexis Jordan is known for her singles Happiness and Good Girl and is helping the Make Mine Milk campaign spread the message that most milk is less than 2% fat. The singer will pick her 5 favourite designs in each of the two age groups (13-15 and 16+) and then two winners will be selected by a public vote, hosted on http://www.facebook.com/makemineMilk. So make sure your design stands out from the rest!
The singer comments:
“I spend so much time on the go – dancing, travelling, singing, shopping; it never stops and I rarely get time to relax. That’s why low-fat milk is perfect for me as it’s not only healthy but really tasty too. I love a hot chocolate in the evenings and whenever I feel like I need an energy boost I grab a glass of cool milk to help keep me going.”
Alexis took part in the Make Mine Milk Challenge competition where celebrities try to gulp down a pint of low-fat milk as quickly as they can. The 19-year-old was happy with her 14.6 seconds! It probably isn’t as easy as it looks… Other celebrities that have backed the multi-million pound campaign are Gordon Ramsey, Pixie Lott, Jenson Button, Elle Macpherson, the stars of The A Team movie, Ryan Reynolds and loads more!
The Make Mine Milk campaign is hoping the 2% Fashion competition will help the nation’s love for milk escalate reminding us all that most milk contains less than 2% fat and as it is nutrient-dense, low fat milk is extremely healthy. I have to admit I never really knew that but have always been a fan of milk, whether I have it on its own or on cereal. This fashion competition will hopefully make more people aware of how healthy milk really is.
