Lee Klabin’s Autumn/Winter 2010/11 Collection ‘Frozen Motion’
I’ve fallen in love with British designer Lee Klabin’s Autumn/Winter 2010/11 Collection. Breathtakingly beautiful structured pieces enhance the womanly silhouette with the help of boning which runs through the panels and seams resulting in traditional British fashion with an artistic flare!
Celebrities such as Dita Von Teese, Sarah Jessica Parker and Lily Cole are already followers of this Israeli born fashion designer. No wonder really as she manages to create pieces that capture the essence of power dressing but with a feminine edge. Lee’s obsession with emphasizing the female form was always the driving force behind her creations. She studied at London College of Fashion and afterwards started to design couture corsets which caught the attention of enough people that she decided to launch an evening Ready-To-Wear Collection which cinch in and accentuate all the right places of a woman’s figure.
Elegantly named ‘Frozen Motion’ the AW 2010/11 Collection uses the most raw materials from the corset’s structure breaking down the traditional corset into its purest components resulting in a sophisticated range. Made up of 25 pieces the collection includes dresses, jackets, shirts, trousers and tops which all compliment each other beautifully offering a capsule style wardrobe for the modern day woman. To make the range really capture the British vibe Lee uses textured Harris Tweeds, soft jerseys, leathers and organza merged with the elements of a traditional corset. The clever use of textures, tones and simplistic, yet stunning shapes makes this collection elegant, versatile and truly stunning!
All of Lee Klabin’s pieces are designed and made in-house in her studio and showroom which is based in Shoreditch and the price range for her Autumn/Winter 2010/11 Collection is from 350GBP up to about 3800GBP.
