With the tribal trend sizzling hot this season no wonder it’s one of my favourite looks. There are so many elements I love about this trend and there’s a strong possibility that that may have something to do with my Indonesian origins, there’s something a little exotic about the way I perceive life and fashion!
I’m a natural born thriller at heart, I’m pretty casual on the inside and I have my own style, which comes naturally. Nothing about my style or wardrobe for that matter is overdone, just subtle thank god, there’s nothing worse than a try-hard that stands out from the crown a million miles away.
Anyway, back to tribal - I’m in love with these bold African and batik-copied prints from far away countries where there are, sadly, hotter climates there, than here, on our bright (hardly) and breezy (I’d say) island we call England.
These beautiful prints are easy to wear for high summer daytime wear and have a carefree attitude which we can carry off on the street (high street) with a faint thought that we could be strolling our stuff on the beach, sand squelching between our toes – totally blissful!
My new and amazing ‘perfect fit’ flared jeans (where did you buy them from, I hear you ask) that I bought in sunny Spain will definitely come in useful soon, as I team them up with those terrific tribal type prints I have my eye on.
To top off this eye-catching look I will wear skyscraper wedges, bright in colour of course or if I feel like it, a metallic style and a striking piece of chunky jewellery round my neck with my most fanaticised about Luella handbag worn over my arm ready to jet set.
