I’m into hats at the moment, they’ve always been a bit of a trixy thing to wear what with the wind, dress codes and the inevitable hat hair, but they’re everywhere at the moment and with me being such a fashion victim, I’m jumping on that bandwagon!

Daytime we’re talking festival chic.  It’s no longer acceptable to turn up in some wellies and a cag, these days festival weekends are one long catwalk with some of the UK’s best dressed competing to be seen.  With Sienna and Kate as my inspiration I hit the shops in order to try and find some suitable headgear and this is what I came up with:

I’m lusting after Eugenia Kim, one of these beauties is what I’m really after this summer from this hot designer from across the pond.  The high street has done a fantastic job this summer of covering this trend so you are sure to find something to suit.

But if festivals aren’t your scene then maybe you’d like to go down Carrie’s route and try a fascinator.  Milliner of the moment is of course Philip Treacy as seen on SJP at the London SATC premiere and more recently Princess Beatrice at her cousins wedding.  This might be a little out of your price range if you’re neither a Royal nor a Hollywood actor, or in fact just a little OTT for Cousin Jim’s wedding - fear not!  The genius of Chapeau Claudette has come to your rescue!

No I can’t believe how gorgeous they are either.  So with the hat situation sorted, just need to nip down to the hairdressers, throw on a frock and erect an umbrella over the whole of London - then I’m ready to roll!
