Felder Felder Spring/Summer 2013 Collection
British designer duo Felder Felder’s Spring/Summer 2013 Collection is filled with romance and femininity. Relaxed silhouettes and minimalistic ensembles really modernise the clothing whilst hints of a retro vibe is apparent in certain garments.

The Felder sisters, Annette and Daniela, are from Germany but call London their home. The twins studied at Central St Martins and started their own label in 2006, gathering an incredible fan base along the way including celebrities such as Rihanna, Florence Welch and Jessie J. Stylists, buyers and editors can’t seem to get enough of this amazing design duo either! They play with print, tough accessories and red carpet grunge embellishment, dressing a woman who can skip between occasions with ease.

For this latest collection, pieces are kept sexy and cool thanks to romantic shapes and sheer fabrics for daring sophistication. Imagery of broken butterfly wings appears as leopard print whilst abstract designs are taken from old Polaroid photographs. Soft hues like pastel pinks, strong turquoise and navy and milky blues create the perfect balance between subtle and bold.

Simple yet stylish halter neck tops and transparent casual tops were paired with mesh skirts and high-waisted shorts with intricate ruffled detail to beautifully contrast one another. These pairings flatter and enhance the female form for feminine empowerment which can also be said for the lingerie inspired outerwear which boasted ruffled detailing too. The clothing fuses elegance with delicacy as well as pretty prints and alluring shades.

Print and texture play a big role in this collection to create interest and depth in the multitude of pieces whilst in keeping with the up and coming trends we’re expecting to see next season. The Felder Girl is typically feminine with an edge which will be easily achievable with this latest selection of sleek, modern designs.
