These Boots Are Made For Walking!

Dear Chantelle
I am fed up with not being able to buy boots because they seem to be made for stick insects. I have a healthy sized pair of calves and they are starting to get upset that no boots will fit them. Where can I find boots that accommodate for the more voluptuous of ladies…???!!! Emma R, Surrey - by email

Hi Emma,
Thanks for the email. This is a common problem for girls who aren’t built like stick insects and I too have stumbled upon this agony in the past. I always look for boots made of stretchy or soft material this ensures that the fabric will stretch so that you can roll them up the leg or indeed pull them on with little problem. Also I find that if I look for a chunkier heel it will make my legs appear slimmer. Another option is to go for boots which tie up or zip up round the leg, there are lots of shops who are introducing this type of style. Good websites to look at are buckles and bows and viva la diva, both offer boots that come in different calf sizes. Good luck and let me know how you get on!
