Andrew Majtenyi’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection - femininity at its best!

Extremely feminine beautiful pieces pretty much sums up Andrew Majtenyi’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.  The softness of the clothing truly is a pleasure to gaze upon and seems to have awakened my girly side…

The Canadian born designer has a strong creative instinct and sophisticated sense of style which shows throughout the gorgeous items of clothing.  Minimalism plays a big roll in this Spring/Summer collection which makes the pieces versatile enough to take you from day to night – just play around with accessories!  Having used the finest Italian and French silks, chiffons and lace gives the dresses that romantic, floaty look to help maintain the femininity.

The colour palette is so girly and dainty with shades such as deep grey mauves and stone mixed alongside the softer silvers and chalks.  Beautiful light prints are used ranging from pretty scattered butterflies to the more technical geometric shapes.  Each piece from this collection shows the female silhouette at its best with the help of clever tailoring which enhances the female figure in all the right places – thumbs up to Andrew!

Two key dresses from this collection are the deep mauve dress with rouched flower detailing and a halter neck dress with floral print – both equally jaw-dropping in their own way!  My favourite would have to be the front split dress though – unbelievably gorgeous, the style and colours making it so refreshing!  A stunning range with dresses for every occasion – exactly what us women need!

The Andrew Majtenyi’s London shop is located on 365 St John Street in Angel.
