Having searched high and low for a ‘little book of’ anything to do with style and fashion to review for you I stumbled across three all in one go!
They are all by the same author and follow a very cute and readable format. The three titles are:
‘Things a Woman Should Know About Style’
‘Things a Woman Should Know About Beauty’
‘Things a Woman Should Know About Shoes’
They each retail for around £9.99 and make a lovely Mothers’S Day gift idea or simply a pressie for a best friend. Each has around 200 pages and although there’s a vast amount of text it’s really nicely broken up into inspirational quotes, short tales, advice, history…. You name it.
Nice easy reading and a quality hardback t the price.
Here’s a quick piece of inspiration from ‘Things a Woman Should Know About Style’ which I have found to be incredibly true:
“Women who wear black lead colourful lives” Neiman Marcus Advertisment.

You can only take so much Hollywood gossip sometimes and need a break from all those same-old-same old stories in the glossies. That’s probably why ‘Yours’ has ventured into something a little different with a one off title called ’50 Years of Everyday Fashion’ which is currently flying off the shelf at a Sainsbury’s near you for £4.99.
Do you want to see what your mum used to look like back in the glorious days of disco, or perhaps even those shoulder padded Dynasty 80’s? It’s a fascinatingly addictive flic that’s full 132 pages of great pics and short stories, and therefore well worth a peek in my opinion.
As a stylist I’m getting some great inspiration from it, especially the crazy 80’s… fashion was clearly in a strange place with Shell suits and pixie boots!
The magazine is on sale up until the 2nd April 2008 so don’t hang about, pick up your copy today!

We’ve recently launched a new section here on TopStylista dedicated to reviewing the latest style, fashion and beauty products available and will be giving you 100% honest and unbias feedback. We’ll also be asking our lovely readers to review products so if you fancy it please email me here .
First up we have a new Australian product on the market called ‘Nads’ (only the Aussies!). Yep, you read that right. We received our sample some days back and must say that the packaging is really nice.
This stuff looks great… it’s a natural gel that melts with your own body heat and washes away in water so no mess from waxes or strips which is a bonus. In fact there is no heating, no harsh chemicals or no sticky residue. You can also use it wherever you want on your body without irritation, but they advise that it’s best for legs, bikini line, underarms and arms.

Love it or hate it we all have to get the iron out every now and then. It’s never a particularly exciting pastime… unless you’ve got a new iron to try out like I recently did!
Now I wouldn’t normally spend time posting an article all about an iron, “surely there are far more exciting things to write about” I hear you say, BUT a good iron is essential for looking good and so it is in fact highly relevant to tell you about this particular one, especially as it is the preferred iron of the likes of Trinny & Susanna and Gok Wan.
I got to work with my new iron just this morning and I must say ‘I’ve not had better and I’ve had my fair share’! It makes ironing almost effortless – what a dream! It’s called the Rowenta Advancer and costs from around £70 and up.
There are too many features to list out and I could be at risk of looking geeky, so if you want to learn more then go and visit Rowenta.co.uk.
