The rise and rise of UGG has seen a number of competing brands enter the furry boot market, one of them being Ukula, an Australian company to the core and a brand which is quickly gaining a good amount of market share. The reason… the price, quality of materials and styles available are every bit attractive to the retailers as well as consumers.
The brand has already negotiated some fantastic contracts with big department stores and retailers around the world and are available in the UK from, USC stores, Footlocker and online at Sarenza.com and Amazon UK.
We recently received a sample of Ukalas, wanting to review the quality over UGG and other higher priced brands. To be brutally honest, there really isn’t much in it apart from a label – Ukala uses plush Australian Merino wool, they come in a broad range of styles and sizes, but the biggest benefit is the fact they are less than half price of UGGS!!! They really are crazily cheap, check our Amazon – you can pick up a pair for under £50!
We think these are a great investment, obviously not yet a recognisable label BUT we predict big things for this brand in 2012.

Summer is rapidly fading, and even the fashion conscious are turning their thoughts on how to keep dry and warm when those frigid temperatures and predictable rain comes into play. If you’ve decided to invest in a whole new wardrobe for summer, you might want to consider extending the look for winter, as a lot of the big trends are carrying over, including military styles and geeky or preppy looks.
The shoes for winter are reflecting these trends, but even if you’ve decided not to be a dedicated follower of fashion, there will probably be something in the winter collections that will appeal to you. Whether it’s leather or suede brogue styles for work, a lace up sneaker style for more casual days or a brightly coloured upper for a touch of fun to a plainer outfit, there’s something for everyone.

Cold weather doesn’t mean you have to stick to jeans and trousers ladies. There are plenty of options that will keep you warm and keep your style rate up. Tights Please has a great range of pieces for Autumn/Winter 2011 that could easily fit into any wardrobe and lifestyle.
I recently got my little fashionista hands on a bunch of goodies from Tights Please which I can get so much use out of for winter. I love the Cable Rib tights! They are a great alternative to leggings (which I tend to practically live in!) and are super comfy. I teamed my grey pair with long t-shirts, jumpers, day dresses and my trusty UGG boots.

Charnos Cable Rib Tights, £12.50
My Aristoc Cotton Sheen Tights are extremely versatile too and are ideal to wear from day to night! The subtle shine in the black makes a delightful change whilst the material is soft against my skin. They look great teamed with heels or flats!

Vanessa Hudgens has become the latest celeb to opt for a short pixie crop and she is certainly in good company. It seems that the pixie crop is having a bit of a fashion resurgence, with the likes of Emma Watson, Evan Rachel Wood, Carey Mulligan and Frankie from the Saturday’s all sporting shorter cropped looks. Even Halle Berry and Helen Mirren have all experimented with short locks, proving that the style can look good, whatever your age.
The look is a very dramatic one but it can suit women of all ages and is really a fuss free do. The look does suit people with fine features best but even those with more defined features can create a dramatic crop with a fab colour that will draw the eye to the hair and not your prominent features.

Caprice, originally from Southern California, became one of the most photographed women in the world having appeared on over 300 magazine covers. Investing her own money, in 2006 she started her own company which she runs and fully finances. It was then that she started By Caprice Lingerie!
The brand has become incredibly popular over the years reaching out to women who are after sexy lingerie that will make them feel beautiful and confident. Caprice designs, models and markets the line herself which is a unique idea and is why women have stayed loyal to the brand.
Her latest By Caprice Lingerie collection is feminine, bold and daring! Vibrant colours and bow detailing are mixed with lace and embroidery resulting in a seductive yet versatile range.
I recently got my hands on the Lilylou lingerie set in black. The padded gel bra features embroidery and a cute bow whilst the Brazilian briefs sport girly frills and a large bow in the centre. It is an ideal set for pear shaped women, like myself, as it helps to balance out your proportions. The bra fits me perfectly giving plenty of support as well as a subtle cleavage. The briefs give the illusion that my thighs are smaller which is down to the feminine skirt detailing. Lilylou gives me an amazing shape and definitely won’t be the last By Caprice Lingerie set to find a home in my drawer!
