Liverpool’s Fashion Festival is the place to be this February and will be taking place over four consecutive evenings at Aintree Racecourse from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th 2012. Hosted by UK Fashion Events, some of the hottest UK’s leading brands and designers will be making an appearance. It is set to be Liverpool’s most glamorous event of the year and is the perfect place to celebrate the Spring/Summer 2012 fashion trends!
Fashionistas and the style-conscious are set to occupy Aintree Racecourse where they’ll be able to preview the new seasonal styles first, and find their perfect race outfit. The Liverpool fashion event will include a live runway show featuring the latest must-have collections by 28 of the region’s finest fashion houses, designers and retailers. One of London’s hottest new shopping destinations, One New Change, teamed up with GQ on Thursday 27th October 2011 to celebrate their first birthday by hosting three unmissable fashion shows!
With stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral, One New Change is packed full of high street and designer stores plus is also home to the city’s most exciting new restaurants from Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey.
The GQ fashion show took place on the 6th floor of the shopping mall and featured brands such as Banana Republic, H&M, Hugo Boss, Reiss, Ketroy, Springfield, T.M. Lewin and Topman. Some of this season’s must-have trends were incorporated into the array of stylish outfits plus all of the ticket proceeds from the fashion shows will go to The Prince’s Trust.
Layering of tops, jumpers and jackets was seen throughout the show which is a perfect look for winter. Skinny and slim chinos and cord trousers made for sexy silhouettes whilst herringbone, tweed and earthy tone jackets, some featuring elbow patches, added a countryside edge to the outfits.
Neutral shades of black, navy, brown and grey were mixed in with shades of green, red, orange and claret – a lovely autumn/winter palette. Chunky knitwear such as cardigans and jumpers were worn over shirts for a smart, casual take on daywear. The range of versatile jackets and coats complimented the variety of trends throughout the show, from double breasted to pea styles. Checked is a must-have print for this season too and adorned shirts and jackets.
Stunning suits in a variety of styles were kept classic and clean. Smart shirt and tie combinations are ideal for day and evening or for a more casual vibe, a grey suit jacket and trousers were teamed with a mustard sweater – a great update to the working mans wardrobe!

It’s that time again at The Bentall Centre in Kingston! Autumn/Winter 2011 Fashion Week is upon us, packed full of make-overs, style consultations, amazing fashion shows and Models 1 are back. It’s going to be an amazing week! All the clothes, accessories and make-up you could dream of in one place.
Fashion Week starts on Monday 5th September with Lia, one of the Centre’s personal stylists, giving away free style consultations. She’ll be demonstrating how to mix and match clothes and accessories for your body type so going shopping is no longer a chore! You’ll leave feeling more confident and full of handy tips and advice.
Fans of clothing brand Yumi should head down on Tuesday 6th September as they will be offering an insight into London street style and vintage chic with their brand new range of clothes for Autumn/Winter. For some inspiration, why not pop along and visit their Capsule Wardrobe which will be set up in the promotional area. Find out some great tips on how to put together an outfit for any occasion – you’ll be a fashionista genius by the time you leave! Saturday 10th September, the final day of Fashion Week, will be the host of the jaw dropping fashion shows. They will incorporate cutting edge dance routines and all the latest and hottest fashion from the top brands which are available from within The Bentall Centre. The fashion shows will be taking place every half hour from 11.30am to 5pm so there are plenty of opportunities to catch the performances. Top modelling agency Models 1 are back this September as well and will be sending their best model scouts to the Centre to find the next hot model – dress to impress ladies and gentlemen!
Modelling Agency Models 1 has chosen The Bentall Centre in Kingston as an official scouting ground and to launch this exciting new partnership the Centre will be holding a day of fashion, beauty and demonstrations on Saturday 28th May 2011.
Models 1 has a reputation for discovering some of the biggest names in the industry and you could be one of them! Scouts from the agency will be there on the day looking for the next hot model so dress to impress girls and guys – this could be your big break!
The fashion packed day will be in conjunction with anchor department store Bentalls and fashion shows will be taking place throughout the day at 11am, 12.30pm, 1pm and 3.30pm. The latest styles, which can be found in Bentalls, will be showcased by models from Models 1 then each show will finish with a jaw dropping dance routine performed by professional dancers who will also be flaunting the latest looks.
Demonstrations will be taking place on the day too including a catwalk workshop with Models 1’s Matt Henry, summer season make-up with Giorgio Armani, skincare facials with Clarins, face and body foundation with MAC, St Tropez demonstrations and limited edition make-up with Bobbi Brown as well as catwalk hair with Models 1’s Nigel Barnes.
