Rooney Mara is one of the hottest actresses to grace the silver screen lately appearing in the highly anticipated American film adaptation of Stieg Larrsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  Her fashion and grace on the red carpet haven’t gone unnoticed as her style is constantly talked about, plus she has been featured on the covers of countless fashion magazines such as Vogue and Allure.

She completely transformed herself for the role in The Girl with the Dragon tattoo cutting off and dyeing her hair, plus getting a few piercings, but that hasn’t stopped the talented actress at rocking this dramatic new look.  Her dark hair, pale skin and bright green eyes totally work in her favour allowing her to be a little quirky but elegant when it comes to fashion.  Rooney always seems to look so flawless, evoking a slight old Hollywood glamour edge.  A definite style crush, her look is truly fascinating and us fashionistas can’t get enough!

The stunning actress keeps her accessories simple allowing her choice of garments to be the statement piece.  Her dress choices for red carpet appearances are extremely chic featuring beautiful detailing such as sheer material which compliments her look perfectly. She normally sticks to black, white and nude shades allowing her classic beauty to shine through.  Plain, yet elegant styles are her strong point too and Rooney was also recently snapped in a gorgeous tailored ensemble.  She teamed a structured black and brown patchwork jacket with black shorts, opaque tights and pumps.  I want her wardrobe!

Although the Royal wedding seems so long ago now everyone still can’t get enough of Kate Middleton.  Seen in all the fashion magazines the Duchess of Cambridge always looks immaculate.  It is fair to say that women across the country envy her style and wonder how they can fuse her fashionable choices into their own wardrobe.

Kate tends to dress conservatively but manages to remain looking young and stylish – she always finds the perfect balance.  No matter what occasion the Duchess attends, her classic and lady like choice of clothing and accessories becomes a massive hit with us fashionistas - anything she is spotted in seems to sell out in a matter of minutes!

The mixing of couture pieces with high-street retailers is what makes Kate’s style unique and admirable.  Although she is seen in pieces from designers such as Alexander McQueen and Erdem she also chooses to wear clothing from high-street labels like Reiss and L.K. Bennett.  No wonder she has been placed on numerous “best dressed” lists!

Feel utterly fabulous this Valentine’s Day with the help of MyTights.com, the online site which stocks an amazing range of tights, hold-ups and stockings to help you achieve any look you want.

Dress your legs to impress whether it be for day or night to make you feel confident and sexy on Valentine’s Day.  MyTights.com has a stunning variety of romantic styles for the special occasion.  From the daring and seductive, to the funky and bold, you’ll find your perfect pair to give the 14th February that extra wow factor!  I recently received two styles from the online tights store, each offering something completely different.

Charnos offer a stunning range of stockings and hold ups that would be oh-so-perfect for Valentine’s Day.  The Ava Hold Ups in black feature a silver pattern and black top oozing understated glamour!  Lace tops are decorated with a flocked floral pattern and scalloped edges, bringing a femininity to the design.  For a unique twist to the hold ups the backseams feature a highly decorative floral pattern that runs up the back of the leg which catches the light beautifully.

I’ve had trouble with stockings in the past as they never seem to stay up; however this pair conceals two bands of silicone underneath the flocked tops to help keep them in place – genius!  I adore the subtle tulip designs going down the back – the perfect amount of femininity for my taste.  They make me feel extremely sexy and are ideal accessories to team with lingerie for Valentine’s Day.

Candy coloured pastel shades are going to be huge for this Spring/Summer 2012 bringing freshness to our wardrobes.  This trend was seen on the catwalks of Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, Jaeger London, Christopher Kane, Dior and loads more providing us ladies with a subtler pastel palette than we’ve seen in the past.

These pretty pastel shades are ultra feminine, yet totally versatile and can be incorporated into day and evening wear easily.  Combine a mix of pastels in colour-blocked layers if you can’t decide on your favourite colour or stick to one tone.  Stay away from sickly sweet shades and instead opt for wearing icy alternatives such as glacier blue, spearmint green, bitter lemon and damask rose.  Light hearted yet will make a fashionable impact!

I adore the dream like essence of the trend.  The pale and interesting shades make for a lovely change from harsh vibrant tones we saw last season.  Icy pastels are ideal for brightening up your spring wardrobe creating beautiful fresh looks.

Evoke the power of cool this spring ladies!
