Scarves are one of my favourite accessories to finish off an outfit. Teaming one with a daytime dress or even to add a stylish quirk to a bag, they are such versatile pieces and I have an ever growing collection! My love for them started when I received my first pashmina in my teens for a birthday. Now I’m constantly on the look out for different designs and styles whether from high street stores or vintage boutiques.
Parisian scarf designer, Jean-Jacques Rogers, has such a gorgeous summer 2011 collection! Vibrant and muted shades are mixed together with unusual patterns providing a style for everyone. Nature also seems to be a subtle influence behind the range with the use of ladybird and butterfly prints as well as some earthy tones.
Jean-Jacques studied at St Martin School of Arts in London and has been the accessories designer for top brands such as Givenchy, Chanel, Lanvin and Balmain. He then created the company Jean-Jacques Rogers, heading the brand since 1999.

Festival season has officially begun! The Coachella fest in California brought out all the stylish celebs and fashionistas, each sporting hot summer 2011 trends that got heads turning! Think chic headbands worn with printed kaftans, sandals and finished with a cute embroidered bag. Big floppy hats are the perfect accessory to embrace the hippy look and a great way of keeping cool in the hot sun. Short shorts teamed with cropped tops and oversized sunglasses is an ideal outfit for summer festivals too as you can play around with different patterns and styles. For a feminine hippy outfit go for a maxi dress and chunky heels then stack up bangles or layer long necklaces to complete your hippy chic 70s inspired festival outfit!
