One of my favourite trends for AW11 has to be faux fur!  It is perfect for adding texture and a luxurious feel to outfits and is definitely ideal for the cold weather.  Incorporating this trend into your wardrobe is easy and something you shouldn’t shy away from.

Faux fur collars and cuffs on coats, jackets and knitwear can be found in high street and designer stores.  Being stylish and cosy just got easier!  There are a variety of coat and jacket styles to see you through winter such as parkas, evening designs, tailored, duffle and sleeveless.  Designs have become more wearable these days too and the choice of colours has increased allowing us fashionistas to be more daring and creative.

All over faux fur jackets are perfect for wearing with evening looks.  Treat yourself to one to accompany your Christmas or New Years Eve dress – it will keep you warm whilst making sure you stay chic!

Celebrities and lovers of fashion gathered in New York last week to witness an amazing runway show which saw Versace and H&M celebrate their collaboration – a truly glamorous event!

Uma Thurman, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Hudson and Selma Blair were among the guests who joined Donatella Versace and H&M to celebrate the much anticipated launch in a specially designed building on the Hudson River.  Versace’s stunning collection for H&M, which is full of bright vibrant pieces, was shown on the catwalk alongside some special iconic pieces created just for this exclusive runway show.  I would have loved to have been there!  The iconic Versace looks were showcased on the catwalk by top models such as Abbey Lee, Daphne G, Natasha Poly, Sean O’pry and Lindsay Wixson.

Donatella says:

“It was the perfect evening, so glamorous and special. I loved celebrating the launch of Versace for H&M here in New York, an iconic city in which to showcase this iconic collection. Now I cannot wait for it to finally reach stores and be available to the world.”

I’m always excited to see what Hetty Rose has to offer for her future collections and for SS12 she hasn’t disappointed!  This new range is inspired and influenced by the beauty of birds in flight so the shoes have been designed by studying the forms in their wings to create a truly beautiful and unique Ready to Wear collection.

Versatile, chic and gorgeous seems to sum up Hetty Rose’s SS12 designs!  The shoes and bags are handmade in London using gorgeous Japanese kimono fabrics which makes each design stand out in its own distinctive way.  Soft leathers in muted tones fused with the kimono wings and feminine, vibrant prints and patterns make the shoes amazing statement pieces which can be worn day or night whilst detailing on the heels brings an interesting twist to the collection.  I also adore the fan design on the clutch bags which would perfectly compliment your summer outfits.

One of London’s hottest new shopping destinations, One New Change, teamed up with GQ on Thursday 27th October 2011 to celebrate their first birthday by hosting three unmissable fashion shows!

With stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral, One New Change is packed full of high street and designer stores plus is also home to the city’s most exciting new restaurants from Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey.

The GQ fashion show took place on the 6th floor of the shopping mall and featured brands such as Banana Republic, H&M, Hugo Boss, Reiss, Ketroy, Springfield, T.M. Lewin and Topman.  Some of this season’s must-have trends were incorporated into the array of stylish outfits plus all of the ticket proceeds from the fashion shows will go to The Prince’s Trust.

Layering of tops, jumpers and jackets was seen throughout the show which is a perfect look for winter.  Skinny and slim chinos and cord trousers made for sexy silhouettes whilst herringbone, tweed and earthy tone jackets, some featuring elbow patches, added a countryside edge to the outfits.

Neutral shades of black, navy, brown and grey were mixed in with shades of green, red, orange and claret – a lovely autumn/winter palette.  Chunky knitwear such as cardigans and jumpers were worn over shirts for a smart, casual take on daywear.  The range of versatile jackets and coats complimented the variety of trends throughout the show, from double breasted to pea styles.  Checked is a must-have print for this season too and adorned shirts and jackets.

Stunning suits in a variety of styles were kept classic and clean.  Smart shirt and tie combinations are ideal for day and evening or for a more casual vibe, a grey suit jacket and trousers were teamed with a mustard sweater – a great update to the working mans wardrobe!

A fantastic show to celebrate One New Change’s first birthday!

Fashion brands Milly and Fenn Wright Manson have some gorgeous pieces for Autumn/Winter 2011 that will sure to give your wardrobe a fashionable up-date!  Leopard and bold vibrant prints adorn pieces from the collections which are hot trends for this season.

Interesting, beautiful prints and patterns from Fenn Wright Manson is the way forward if you’re looking to make a statement.  Take inspiration from designers such as Erdem and Marc Jacobs.  A feminine floral pencil skirt can be incorporated into day and evening looks – an extremely versatile piece.  The polka dot dress will enhance your curves and give you a gorgeous shape.  Team it with lady like accessories such as a little boxy clutch and lace gloves for a 60’s retro look.
