Kate Moss has had her critics and problems over the last year or so and all in front of a baying media to boot. So I felt a sense of “good on her” when I noticed that she has been taken on to create a new fashion range for UK High Street retailer Topshop.

According to the BBC.co.uk

“The collection will launch in spring 2007 across the retailer’s 308 stores and on its website.”

Having been seen with Philip Green at London Fashion Week, tongues were wagging about a potential deal.

Sir Philip Green is quoted as saying:

“Kate has a unique position as a true fashion icon and I look forward to helping develop ‘Kate Moss for Topshop’ into a global brand,”

You’ve got to say Sir Philip really has his finger on the pulse with this deal.

Apparently the beautifully styled black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is to be auctioned at Christies with a price tag of between £50,000 - £70,000 ($75,000 - $105,000). A staggering asking price!

The dress is scheduled for auction in early December.
