Onitsuka Tiger’s are absolutely HUGE in their homeland, Japan - and checking out some of their styles it’s clear to see why one of the most stylish cultures on the planet has welcomed them with open arms.
The trainers are unisex and the range is vast… check out the full collection and discover where your local stockiest is from the Onitsuka Tiger Trainer
Here’s three of our favorites.
FABRE BL-L Grey Banshuori/Cream £70 - These high-top basketball shoes were released in 1974 and received extensive fame and notoriety in the Japanese NBA MVP of 1973, where the team wore them during an NBA All Star tour.

COOLIDGE LO Purple Banshuori £55- The name Coolidge is taken from the 1980s US basketball TV show and is a variation of the classic basketball shoes of the 1970s. The silhouette of this shoe is narrower and more stylish, while retaining the classic basketball style in a low form.

ROTATION 77 - £50 is a brand new style, based on a volleyball shoe from the 1970s.
This year’s Hush Puppies AW08 collection offers an eclectic range of ‘hard wearing’ style - something they seem to be improving on year on year.
What we like most about the new range is that there is truly something for every taste and style, from Biker Chick to Fashionista Chic. I’ve always been inquisitive about what makes their shoes so comfy, I’ve had a pair for 4 seasons now and they just get comfier. Hush Puppies use something called ‘Incline’ technology, which for us non-tech folk basically means that each pair has a unique padding shape in the heel. Apparently they also help to improve body alignment, balance and ankle stability. As a stylist I’m always on my feet walking miles from shop to shop - so this is a welcome statement.
Here’s some of my favourites from this season’s range:
Biker Boots – These have made a welcome comeback from the early 90’s and are HOT this season. The price is also nice at £65.

Knee High Boots – A great staple for every winter capsule wardrobe… almost impossible to find a truly comfy pair that you can wear all day without pains shooting up your leg! These come in tan leather and go with pretty much everything including your fashion budget at just £85.

The Shoe Boot – Another fancy of mine and a more recent addition to the High Street. These are a lace up boot with a vintage look available in tan leather or metallic silver for the party girls amongst you.
