It seems like this particular trend has never really disappeared but the catwalks are overflowing with audacious party wear, incorporating bright electric colours and accentuating contours. Retail talk appears to indicate that these will be dominating the high street over the Christmas period, ideal for all those cocktail parties and black tie functions.
Recommended colours are purples, blues and pinks.
Take a look at these beautiful little numbers from Versace:
Yep that’s right it’s back with a vengeance. Disco style is gonna be making huge waves this Autumn - keep it under your hat because it’s not widely known yet. Go out and get yourself some high glamour apparel and you’re going to look the coolest thing since sliced bread.
Some pretty powerful retail buyers recently let on to me that there is some heavy duty ordering going on in preparation for a high street disco onslaught. You have been warned. However, don’t expect gaudy leotards etc this time it’s going to be a far more refined look with touches of gold and platinum mini dresses and tops. Accessories might include Paul Ka’s diva slouchy bags, chainmail clutch or even some glitter tights. These touches will help achieve that subtle disco look.

Kate Moss has had her critics and problems over the last year or so and all in front of a baying media to boot. So I felt a sense of “good on her” when I noticed that she has been taken on to create a new fashion range for UK High Street retailer Topshop.

According to the BBC.co.uk
“The collection will launch in spring 2007 across the retailer’s 308 stores and on its website.”
Having been seen with Philip Green at London Fashion Week, tongues were wagging about a potential deal.
Sir Philip Green is quoted as saying:
“Kate has a unique position as a true fashion icon and I look forward to helping develop ‘Kate Moss for Topshop’ into a global brand,”
You’ve got to say Sir Philip really has his finger on the pulse with this deal.
There has been a constant dribble of gossip for the last twelve months about how tartan was going to start making a big impact. This has been lumped in with the ubiquitous scramble to get a piece of Brit chic but I think tartan is a little more than that. It offers a wonderfully unique look that should never date. Recommended variations on the tartan fabric are Prince of Wales check and Houndstooth.
Take a look at this stunning tartan by Alexander McQueen.

An asymmetric dress which is decorated with a black Tahitian pearl thistle pin. Simply stunning.
